Zackary Newson

Zackary (Zack) J. Newson is a Clarksdale, MS, native, leader, and big believer in leaving things better than he found them. Whether mentoring students, leading teams, or building community impact, he brings ambition, humor, and a people-first mindset to everything he does. Zack believes in purpose, growth, and making meaningful things happen, with good style along the way. He brings with him a gentle mindfulness, high-risk management experience, and deep reflection.

Zack joined the Nu Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. while he earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Master of Arts in Higher Education/Student Personnel degrees from the University of Mississippi. Zack co-advised both IFC & Panhellenic during his time at Ole Miss and led programming in both Harm Reduction and Career Readiness. Zack has also served as a National Accountability Consultant for Delta Zeta and District Associate Director of Membership Development & Area Assistant Chief Dean for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. After graduation, Zack also served as a Case Manager for Student Advocacy and Accountability at Louisiana State University.
