Meet the Team

 

Liz Schafer, Director of Fraternity and Sorority ProgramsLiz Schafer

Liz has served as the director of Fraternity and Sorority Programs at Tulane since 2009. A native New Orleanian, she received a bachelor’s degree in American studies from the College of William and Mary and a master’s degree in higher education administration from the University of New Orleans. She currently helps lead Tulane’s hazing prevention efforts and is a member of the university’s Sexual Violence Prevention Work Group. Liz is an active community volunteer, serving on the board of directors of the Junior League of New Orleans, in fundraising roles at both her children’s schools, and as an extension specialist for her own national sorority.

Julia Hankins, Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Programs

Julia has served as the assistant director of Fraternity and Sorority Programs since 2010. Originally from Nashville, she received a B.S. in Business Administration from Saint Louis University, followed by a Master’s of Education from Middle Tennessee State University. Julia spends her free time teaching at the Pure Barre studios here in New Orleans, volunteering for her own sorority organization, and traveling in her spare time.
